I've been wanting to try it but haven't yet. I've a vine in my garden and each year for the past few I've intended to pick the grapes and give it a go...

You totally should, it's great. I just bottled my first batch the other day - a grape and apple made from supermarket juice. I also have a Ribena wine, a strawberry ribena, an apple and a blackberry and nettle tea on the go. Am loving experimenting with different combinations. I'm looking forward to the spring when I can make some flower wines like elder flower and dandelion.
