Very light AF on medicated cycles

Does anyone else have very light and short AF on these medicated cycles? Is that a sign of anything or normal? Today when I went in for my day 3 scan the dr was like "ur on day 3?" I said yes but it's very light this time and he just said yes. I'm wondering if he said that because it was light or I had a low follicle count? Usually he says ovaries look great, lining looks great...this time we just discussed what we would do next cycle if this one doesn't work (since it's my 3rd IUI) and he just said don't get discouraged every month has the same chances. But I wish I had asked him more about my period or if that was a sign of anything. So any ladies that can answer?! Just stressed out cuz I was expecting something more aggressive but insurance won't approve till I go through this 3rd IUI cycle and we didn't prepare in advance for injectables so couldn't go that route either.

I definitely have shorter and lighter cycles on meds. Clomid can also thin your lining so that is the likely reason. Do they check your lining at your follicle scan? Mine is usually a little thin so they put me on estrogen patches and estradiol tablets (vaginally) to help build the lining up.

Yes, my lining is good, I'm on tamoxifen since I have PCOS and developed cysts when I tried clomid.
How long were ur normal cycles? Mine were always a bit short, 3-4 days, now they're light 3 days then spotting maybe 1 or 2 more days, does that sound normal? My mom keeps saying it's not lol

that's about what mine have been on meds - a few days of light and then some spotting. Before then a normal cycle would have been heaviest day1-2 then trailed off for about 5 days total. Except of course when I missed AF a few months due to the pcos and it was super heavy (still only around 5 days though)

Didnt realize u had PCOS also, that's the thing, I always get my pd (knock on wood) but sometimes it's super light and I wonder why. I thought maybe it was cuz I had endo or a cysts, but I had a lap and my sonos, everything seems fine. I guess everyones diff...r u on metformin?

I think the lining comes from the estrogen level so if you have higher testosterone from the pcos it probably interferes somehow. I was regular when I was younger but the past few years I've been known to skip a few months then have a cycle or two and skip a few months again.

I was on Metformin til last month but they had me stop it because they saw a couple of my liver enzymes were high. Apparently metformin can cause liver damage in some people. I'm hoping that doesn't make it even harder ttc
