Yikes Heavenly! I would imagine that Donor eggs is more expensive as you would keep all of the eggs. Egg sharing probably slightly cheaper but as you have already said you might not get as many.... we ladies here are going to be egg sharing with us being the donor. Sorry I cant be of more help.... might be worth starting a thread in the main AC area... someone might be able to shed more light xxx Good luck xxxx

Thank you, sorry for butting in your thread, I thought I couldn't be on an egg share list as I can't donate myself, so it has confused me!

Dont worry about butting in I also saw your thread on FF's.... sorry Im also trying to find out some egg share information but its not easy to find. Could you look into the Lister as I know that they do an egg share programme might be worth a phone call to them and seeing what they say xxx

Would you be donating? I obviously can't.

It's just that if the odds are better with an egg donor, rather than egg sharer, seems I should go with an egg donor treatment. But I will continue to delve.

Good luck to you too.

Hi Heavenly, Im not 100% in the know of all this egg sharing business but I am an egg sharer and am about to complete a cycle this is what I know,

An egg donor could take alot longer as the ladies that are giving away eggs at the moment tend to be the sharer ladies rather than the donor because they are getting free IVF treatment so I think if it was me I would go for the sharer but if you could find out if there is just as much chance getting donated eggs rather than shared I would then go for donated as you get much more eggs than shared.

Hope this helps a bit

Hi Sam and AB hope all is well with you not had much chance to get on here recently it's been a bit manic! We had our counselling session just over a week ago which was not what I was expecting She was lovely and explains so much to us in detail made me feel so much more relaxed, been given Microgynon to take on day 2 of full bleed ( starting these tonight) waiting for my plan to arrive so can call for my meds to be delivered not looking forward to injection myself ! When I called the clinic they did say they ave found a match so looking at doing ec end of May eeeek so nervous and excited.

How is everyone else doing like I said not been on for a while all good I hope love and hugs to you all

Look forward to hearing from you x x

Tigerfan: counselling sounds very positive , pleased you are getting started, sometimes that part can feel like it take forever. the first injection is always the worst and then after that its ok, you will be fine, I had OH do mine as he felt more involved when helping. Goddluck and keep us posted as to how you are doing.

Caz and Bob: Thanks on the congrats

I got a BFN, which has been very hard to cope with but we are moving on and thats all we can do, no one said it would be easy or that it would work first time.
