Hi there!

I wondered if there has been anyone who has gotten pregnant after their hubby/partner has had a reversal. My husband vasectomy was reversed Sep 2010 and Im not convinced we are going to be lucky. My friend suggested icsi.... Any advise? Thank you!

I'm wondering the same thing. My husband also got his reversal in 2010. We just did the ICSI/IVF procedure and will see if I am pregnant on Wednesday. My dr said ICSI was our only chance at getting pregnant. We did IUI and his sperm couldn't penetrate the egg.

Hello

DH had a vr back in 2010, we are not pregnant yet but we are doing ICSI in August. There is a thread in TTC groups & Discussions with many ladies who got pregnant. Good luck!

It is very possible! I got a call from the nurse and told me that I was pregnant and possibly with twins! I am more in shock then any other emotion. Baby dusts and prayers your way.

It's definitely possible. The closer your V from your VR the better. We just had our VR a few months ago.

Hi Caroline.
My brother went on to have 3 more children after his reversal. I haven't read up on the stats regarding this as I just assumed once reversed you're good to go. Is there something to suggest otherwise?

We were told the longer the man had the vasectomy the less chance that after they had a vasectomy reversal that they would be able to get someone pregnant. My husband had his V almost nine years. The V made his sperm have low motility and morphology. The only way for us to get pregnant was to do the the IVF/ICSI process.
