2 weeks, how much and how often is your lo feeding?
Just wondering how much your little one is feeding at 2 weeks? My ds is feeding 3oz every 2 hours but at his 10pm feed he has 5oz then normally sleeps till 2ish. Also how long can you use milk that has been made up, is it an hour? X
Hey! Sounds like a good feeding pattern to me. At 2 weeks my DD2 was having 2-4oz every 2-2.5 hours but going longer at night (3-5 hour stretches). You can keep a feed for 2 hours if your baby hasnt drunk from it, but once your baby drinks from it throw it away after an hour (but within the 2 hour window). xxx
My LO is having about 4oz every 3 hours but can sometimes feed after 2 hours or wait until 4 hours has passed. We started her off on 3oz but had to up it after 5 days. We now make her 5oz bottles but she always leaves some which we prefer just so she doesn't drain the bottle and get bits of air near the end. Once her feed has been made up we give it 2 hours before throwing it away.
My little one was doing 4oz every 3 hours, sometimes 2 and half if he got hungry quicker. At 5 weeks he's still doing pretty much the same but with 5oz. So not much difference in ounces bt he's recently gained nearly a pound a week.
