How much does your 21 week old (Or similar) weigh?
My little man will be 5 months on the 7th. He was born very small due to IUGR (He stopped growing in the room and had to be emergently delivered at 37 weeks).
He weighed 4lbs 6oz, and now weighs around 13lbs. I'm trying to work out how far behind an average 5 month old he is.
He's absolutely thriving and healthy.. But still in his 0-3 month clothes bless him! haha. x
My LO just over 22 weeks and I last took him to be weighed at 16 weeks and he was just over 19lb, he usually gains about a lb a week so is guess he now weighs around 26lb!!! I must take him next week and see. But he's not average he's on the 91st centile, so I wouldn't compare with my LO lol.
My son was born 8lb 2 and was about 15lb 10 or thereabouts at that age. He went through a bit of a phase of gaining erratically between around 4-7 months. He is now 17 months and 22lbs approx. My OHs cousin was born with IUGR but was a bit smaller I think 3lb and a bit? She didn't gain weight very well in her first year and was still only in 0-3 clothing at 1 year but after that she started growing a bit too quickly, which is unusual but can sometimes occur with IUGR babies. The consultant telling her mum to feed her non stop junk to get her weight up didn't help either. Thankfully now things have settled down and at the age of 8 she is still quite chubby but hasn't put on any more weight for about 3 years xx
Lily was 5lbs 15oz at birth (I was induced two days early due to lack of fluid around baby) and at her last HV appointment, 2 weeks ago she was only 12lbs 7oz. She was a very bad feeder until about a week and a half ago though... Basically had to be asleep before she would settle enough to take a bottle. X
