according to my FIL she needs to get used to noise and we are making a mistake by putting her upstairs while she naps.

Bedsharing, breastfeeding, and some solids at 18 weeks. Althought only ladies on BnB disagree with solids before 6 months, never met any in real life that started that late.

Jennifer I never met anyone who started that late either until BnB. I even had a BnB friend ask me why I was starting solids at 4 months because you're not supposed to till 6 months, according to some organization. To give her credit though, this organization was in the UK and most people that I know in the US start their kids on solids at 4 months based on the advice of their doctors. Because that's what mine did.

I encourage my bub to self settle. Apparently i am a cruel mother that doesn't nurture my child enough.

EBF seems to be a bad decision as well to some people and i have been asked "when am i going to quit with that so i can be more fun and drink more" and also my breast milk surely is not enough for my child and i must be starving him.

Feeding him on demand has also been disagreed with. Apparently even if he is starving i am meant to make him wait for 3 hours till the next feed.

A girlfriend thinks i should make my husband who works killer long hours do the all night settling and feeds as well because its no good me doing it as my LO can smell my breast milk! Im sure he can smell my milk but LO sttn most of the time now, and if he does wake its because he is hungry. But hey, what the hell do i know huh? Im just his mother pfft.

Oh and another one... I squeezed the pimples on his nose even though i was told not to. I did it and they cleared up instantly and i was so gentle he never even flinched.

Yeah all my friends doctors advised them to start their babies on solids at four months.
And Lilly sleeps with blankets too.

People do freak about the food!! I did do homemade purées but mine was such a good eater and mashed well with her jaws that we've been doing only grown up foods for the last couple of months. Out at restaurants I've had a lot of older ladies look with disbelief at the things I've brought my LO to eat, or share from my plate. I've noticed that a LOT!

Have you ever swaddled a grown up? Or a dog? Lol it's hilarious! Dh and I swaddled each other in comforters once and we laughed until we cried, lmao. I have NO idea how these little babies escape! I couldn't move at all! Babies are amazing!
