Do growth spurts make babies fussy and cranky?

she seems to be sleeping a lot and when she does wake she is fussy and cranky and looks tired but fights it. her eyes look a little red like she is sleepy but she fights it. can growth spurts make babies cranky, she gets mad when we straighten her bib or outfit and when we hold her a certain way. but after a bit she gets mad, but looooves when we lean her forward as if to burp her on our knee.

any help would be great.

Lucy was like this when she was having growth spurts, she used to sleep loads and when she was awake she would be in such a bad mood, it was her way or no way!
Just bear in mind it should only last a few days, maybe a week then they usually go back to normal... until the next growth spurt! xx
