waking in night & banging his legs down

Hello
my LO has slept through the night since he was 8 weeks all.
Just this last week he has started to wake in the night ( he is 17 weeks now)
He lifts his legs really high & bangs them down & wakes us up!
He doesnt seem to be in any pain at all, he is just playful.
He is a big boy 19lbs & i dont know if he is hungry? I dont know if its too early to introduce solids.
Or is it just a phase?

What do you think?

Thanksxx

Elliot does this too, it definetly isn't him being hungry-just wanting his dummy back usually! Either that or deciding he'd like to play!

Oscar used to do this...think it went on for about 3 weeks. No idea why though! Now he takes his dummy out and runs it along the side of his cot!

Aiden does the feet banging thing and i know why he does it after watching him one night.... He does this over and over again and in the process turns himself slowly around by doing it then when he seems to be comfy he stops and goes back too sleep!

I would say just watch and see if they are turning around or if you are finding them in a diffrent position as too what you put them down in xx
