Make your own cot sheets, and others.....

I was looking for some cot sheets and was amazed that for 19 I only got like 3 sheets and a blanket(maybe I expect more, lol). So I was googling and I found a site telling how to make the fitted sheets.

I have a nice raspberry pink duvet that doeasnt go with our new flat, so I am going to attempt to make 2 sheets out of that

I love making my own stuff!
I don't sew yet (I'm a knitter), but my mum does and she's made all sorts of cute little pillowcases for Simon - really wonderful fabrics and cute trims. I love how unique handmade is and that someone took the time and care to make it, especially when they did it with your own little baby in mind!
And with baby stuff, it's very affordable. You can make stuff with remnants.
Post your sheets when they're done!

She is only 4 weeks on tues but already outgrowing her moses basket :O so need to get these sheets done for next week!

However I can see me giving up and just having them flat - eeksies

Ah, the pile of projects!
I have a sweater for my brother that I am knitting in the round. So far I have the torso knit up to the armpits. It's been on hold at this point for over a year, so I have jokingly told him that it's finished, but that it's not a sweater, it's a new garment I call the "gut-warmer", just a big wool tube for his midsection!
And then there are the many many socks that are half-done and a scarf and hat for a friend that need to be finished and so on! But it's all very fun.
Don't sweat it on the sheets - baby will never know!
