"Does he sleep through?"

"Does he sleep through?"

Nope. Not once in his whole little life. He has slept for 5 hours twice. Mostly he wakes up every hour or so though. Why must people tease me with the idea that he should sleep through? My daughter never slept through as a baby!

One was a pregnant girl stood with her OH. When I said no, and I wasn't expecting him to for a long time, her OH turned to her and said, "you told me they only wake up in the night for 2 weeks!"

I better add her reply...

"No, it's ok, we'll get it into a routine."

Haha!!

It's the way they look at me like he's abnormal though. Every single person. They either sigh and shrug it off or ask me why...........

I know!!! Why is everyone, inc me, so obsessed with it!?

Surely if our babies are happy and healthy it shouldn't matter

We get asked all the time... people don't get it. People who have had children (I'm thinking of my MIL and her sisters and parents for that matter - who should know better as they have had children themselves).

No my baby does not sleep through. He is NORMAL and he is breast fed on demand and he needs a feed (at least one) during the night!

Why do people ask that though?
