Does milk come out of your baby's nose?

When they spit up? Rocco has always done this. I have to say it was quite disturbing the first time I saw it, but for him it's pretty normal. It either trickles out his nose, trickles out his mouth, or both. Sometimes he let's out a little snort and a chunk of milk will shoot out his nostril. Lol it never ever seems to bother him or be painful but my mother saw it happen once and thinks I need to mention it to the pediatrician because she can't remember any of us (4 kids) doing it. Does your baby do this??

I'm pretty sure it's normal unless they seem to be in discomfort. My mom thinks it's not normal because neither I nor my siblings ever did it.

LOL Kaylee has done this a few times. It's probably normal, if you didn't open your mouth your vomit would come out your nose too! My OH has even done this a few times...wtf? haha

Yep us too - usually only happens with the more violent burps but it has happened a few times. It usually scares him poor little thing, but I don't think its dangerous. Ears, nose and throat are all connected aren't they, so I guess it just escapes any way it can! (Although I would imagine if it comes out of his ears that's NOT normal!!! LOL!!)

Marlie had this at times too, but it was painful for her. She had reflux though so that's probably why it hurt her.

Yeah everything is connected. I actually heard milk can come out of their eyes too! Now THAT would freak me out!!
I did see a guy on tv once that shot milk out of his eye. Lol I guess the tear ducts are connected too. Ewwww

When I (B)feed Sebastian lying down in the early morning, he also 'leaks' milk from his nose.
