I can't watch that stuff. WHY does someone birth 16 children "and counting"? It really boggles my mind... esp if whatever the stats say about it costing like a hundred grand+ to raise a child, how are 16 going to be afforded? I kno money isnt everything but that many kids just seems excessive. Back in the day there were 16 kids in my grandmas family but they had a farm to run... why now a days does someone need 16+ kids? I don't get it. You can't tell me all those kids get equal and adequate attention... I get all wound up just thinking about it lol. Even DF thinks we shudnt have #2 until we have smothered this little one with all our love and attention for a few years!!

Can't understand it either, at least the dad has his own business and the kids are all really well cared for, how she copes with all that housework though?

For some reason, I watched that programme when it was on last week and felt really really sad.

Obviously they love all their children very much and they are looked after. But I just felt so so sorry for them (the children that is), even though they all seem really happy. I kept looking at the youngest and he seemed to be in the jumperoo like all the time but he seemed to big for it. I kept thinking of my little Anabella and how much love and attention she gets from us both and I just can't believe their children receive that much, it is near impossible with all the children wanting attention, plus all the housework that needs doing.

Dunno, I just think it is unnecessary. I am genuinely sorry if my opinion upsets or offends, as I don't mean too and I dont mean to judge (although I probably am!!).

And how on earth can the afford a 10 bedroom house when she isn't working and he runs a little family business. I know they are not claiming benefits, but it doesn't add up to me!

The one in the US I believe she is up to 19. They believe they should have all the children god wants to give them..ie no birth control. I don't even think I could handle 2 kids lol but I think her older children help A LOT. they are homeschooled and save money by making their own laundry detergent, I think they built their own house and other things like that. But their older girls seem to look after most of the younger kids. Like built in babysitters lol it just looks like complete chaos every day..I would die
