It's really really normal for her age. Certain books give the idea that all babies take a nice long two hour nap in the day while mummy rests and gets things done but it isn't necessarily like that. My LO napped for exactly 30 minutes at that stage - the length of one daytime sleep cycle. He is 9 months old now and his sleep is a bit longer and he tends to do 2 1hour naps rather than 4 half hour naps. Some days he even sleeps for an hour and a half in the morning!

Don't bother with the battles about getting her back to sleep if she wants to be awake. Obviously if she wakes up really grumpy and still tired then try to resettle her.
You have it really really great with the self soothing and the sleeping well at night so just go with the flow in the day time so long as she is happy.

My lo is exactly the same, she can nap for hours on me but in her basket only does 30ish minute stretches in the day. She can usually go an hour to 1.5 hours between naps but it can be less if she was still tired after her last nap. Once she slept for like 2 hours for one of her morning naps but hasn't done it since. If I think she's still tired I do try and get her back to sleep, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I can't really get much done either, so sometimes I put her in the bouncer in the kitchen and she watches me clean/cook

The only difference is my LO isn't a great sleeper at night either lol! She used to be but over the past few weeks has started waking more for feeds.

Get used to it!! lol!! My LO has taken 30 min naps since the 4 month regression and is showing no signs of lengthening the naps yet.. she'll be 10 months on 10th Feb.

Sorry, not particularly helpful I know.. but it's the reality of it.

My lo has only just started doing 40 min naps. He used to always go down for at least 1.5hrs so this is new and a bit frustrating. I've read that maybe I am putting him down to early and he is tired enough for a short sleep but not for a 2 hour sleep. I tried keeping him up a little longer this morning to test the theory. He went to sleep without a fuss so fingers crossed he sleeps for longer

Mine was like this but te last few days he's been having one two hour nap in the morning and one 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon. Not getting my hopes up that it will last but I am enjoying it!

This is exactly like my LO! Didn't realize how common it was. Although yesterday she did manage an hour nap but then refused to nap after that and had a meltdown until she finally fell asleep in her bouncer.

Well the first morning sleep my lo woke after 30 mins but I managed to get another 40 mins while holding him. Then at lunch I got a 1.5hr sleep! Normally he sleeps in the main living area if the house which is really light and bright. But for the lunch time sleep I moved his bassinet into his room and closed the curtains so it was fairly dark. Maybe this is what made the difference??
