My baby Mylo's skin is peeling off in his creases..
Is this normal?.. he resembles a little snake at the mo!
I only top to tail him at the mo.. until the cord dries out etc.. and have noticed in the first week in this world.. his skin is peeling in certain places. MW said dont worry but I cant help it. I thought he was getting eczma or something.
Grabbed some johnsons intense moisturiser for babies today.. gonna start rubbing it on hope it clears up.
Yep Chloe had peeling skin on her ankles and hands when she was first born took a good couple of weeks for her skin to get 'normal', now she is fine I think most babies get it, keep mosturising morning and night and it will eventually go x
Yep, my LO is the same Tsia, the midwife said they do peel alot to start off. She also suggested using Olive Oil to rub on him(I asked if I should use Baby oil, but she said Olive oil was more natural).
I keep rubbing him and saying we're having him for tea!!!!!
ruby is 5 weeks now and shes just finished peeling! i think she shed a whole layer over her entire body! its just his wee skin drying out and getting used to being outside and not in liquid.. i used olive oil, and E45 on roo.. her hands and feet were the worst.. it was literally coming off in sheets!
Harvey has that too. Our mw said to use either olive oil or baby moisturiser on it. Though she did say not to put anything on his hands as he'll put them in his mouth. His hands seem to have cleared up really quickly though while his tummy and the inside of his elbows are still quite bad.
My pediatrician said you don't HAVE to put anything on it, because it's not a skin condition per se. All babies do it from being in our fluid for 9+ months! Like when you get pruny if you stay in the bath too long! lol
