Has your LO had this before? I get them really often, so it's kind of no surprise that DS would have them....guess I thought they would start later rather than sooner (he's only 6 months). The skin was hanging off yesterday, so I cut it short with scissors, since he always has his hands in his mouth, I didn't want him accidentally tugging on it. Today his finger is red and swollen. When my nail gets like this I usually take a pin and prick it to relieve the pressure (sorry if TMI). Probably not a good idea to do this to DS, though, right? Not sure what I can do. It doesn't seem to bother him too much. I just worry about it getting infected if I don't treat it somehow.
