Put him in a sitting position on your leg and bounce him very gently or if you have a birthing/exercise ball put him over your shoulder and bounce on that. Other than that if you just do it the way you normally do and nothing comes out lay him back down and dry again usually this helps.
Infacol helps to get wind up and its safe to use. i was told if your baby wont wind after 5mins of trying then lay them down and if they have wind they will wake up after a short while and you can try them again. it should be easier as the air bubbles settle and come to the top which maked burping easier. a rocking movement sometimes helps aswel. Like sit your baby on your knee supporting his chin...make dure hid backs staight then gently lay your baby backwards do they are laying flat on your knee facing the ceiling then slowly sit them backup x
I always burped him in a sitting position on my lap, then laid him down for a minute, then picked him up and burped again. Laying down helps to move the air toward the top, so its easier for them to burp it up.
