Moved into his cot!

Last night we put Elijah down in his cot for the night for the very first time :[ I hated it!!! But we didn't have a choice really. I was going to wait until he was at least 6 months but he's so long and was trying to roll over in his basket that it was becoming a safety thing. He did really well though and went to sleep with me singing and only woke up once in the night and went back to sleep once he got his dummy. I can't believe how big he's getting and I hate that he's not right next to me.
Why do they have to grow up so fast??

I've been putting it off as long as possible. Typical though that the baby isn't bothered and I'm a nervous wreck haha.

My daughter has been in the big cot for a week now. To be honest I think she needed it as now she has the space she stretches her arms right out. She looks tiny in it, but she took to it with no problems at all, and seems to like her sleeping bag too!!

I hated it at first and find myself waking up all th time to make sure I can't hear her (have the monitor next to my bed - no idea why as we can hear her across the hallway no problem) so she went fro. Sleeping through the night until about 5-6am from 8pm, to now waking up at 4am. But to say a couple of weeks ago we were trying to settle her until 1am that it feels weird to have evenings free after 3 months!!!
I think it's going to be too much to get her to sleep from 7:30pm at the moment, she falls asleep in my arms but if I transfer her before 8pm she wakes up!!

We've never had any problems with Elijah sleeping really. He's slept at least 10 solid hours since he was 3 weeks old. He's a bit of a lazy boy haha.
I kind of hoped he wouldn't like sleeping in the cot so I could justify him staying with me haha. But he definitely looks more comfortable in his cot. As you say they can stretch out more.
