Amber teething necklace

Who uses an amber teething necklace? There are probably loads of threads on this but don't want to scroll through! My lo isn't teething right now but she goes through times when she is in alot of pain.i hate keep giving nerofen..but it's the only thing that works.i also give Anbesol liquid. But have been wondering about the amber just puts me off to have anything around her neck!!

I'm not totally convinced they work tbh. My friends little one has worn one since he was a few months old and has been THE most miserable baby with teething. In the end she got in to a habit of giving him pain relief every night to help him. My cousins also said that she didn't find it worked for her little one. I personally use teething granules and give my son a damp muslin that's been in the freezer for a little while for him to munch on. Seems to work fine.

If you are worried about using a necklace then you could try the anklets instead? X

Mine has worn one since her first round of teeth came through. Didn't even notice when they came in. Next lot started and she cut 6 in 2 weeks and was happy as can be. I truly believe they help. It's not magic, by any meant. When these 6 teeth started moving around 8 months she was MISERABLE for a good 2 weeks or so. But when all of them cut she was fine. She has a necklace that we wrap around her ankle at night, but she naps with it on as I can watch her. Never had an issue.

Dd3 and 4 both had two of the amber anklets, I didn't notice them teething at all and never had any problems, it might have been coincidence but I will be using them again this time too

We had one for my LO for a while and I swore by it... but then we lost it after a bath one day and realized that she actually was just a really easy teether. I think unless you're already going through teething hell and then put it on and notice that it's suddenly much better, it's hard to tell whether it's the necklace or if that's how your LO would have handled it anyway.

I'd skip it altogether if I had another one, personally. I did always stress about her having something around her neck.

My LO has also been a great teether so I've never tried one but the strangulation risk puts me off. Plus choking on the heads if it breaks.

Most are sold in the idea that body heat causes a type of pain relieving acid to be released by the Amber and absorbed by the skin but that type of acid doesn't melt until way over body temperature

Nowadays people are turning more and more to everything natural. We got one from Amazon, but also been advised that amber artisans is good, they do custom work, if you need it.

Both of my oldest wore them and this LO will as well. My girls never had a problem with teething. Not even a fuss until my oldest broke hers and we went without for a few days. Than she was a nightmare with teething. I'm not 100% sure they work but it seems that way for us. The difference in demeanor with it on vs. off is enough to sell me on them. And they are made to break so your kid can't choke. As my oldest demonstrated when she broke hers.

Yes, I used them with my first three babies. I did not use them with my fourth, and I notice a HUGE difference in the teething pain. This baby is MISERABLE. I need to get one.

Well, there is no science to back it up in the slightest but you could always go for anklet if you don't want the necklace risk if you wanted to give it a go.
