What do babies stare at ??

Completely stupid post just cause of what my friend said. Alyssa, like most babies just stare into space, but if i move her her eyes will follow that one space which is nothing!

Is it because shes trying to focus ? or just trying to get used to new surroundings. I googled this and came up with so many answers including autism, angels etc. damn i hate that google sometimes.

just wondering if anyone knows what theyre staring at ? x

I always like to believe that babies can see angels or spirits because their mind has not been tainted by life and cynicism and that they are perhaps being visited by special people who are no longer with us. I believe Caidan could see my dad and that he watches out for him.

What the actual truthful answer is, I dont know.

See i sort of believe that too.. theres a corner in my house where these musical ducks started playing without being wound up by me or my OH and ever since Alyssa looks in this corner.. Freaks me out sometimes altho shes always smiling, so cant be too bad.

Its one of these things that we will never knw i guess but was just wondering whether people thought the same as me. My poor OH didnt sleep last night cause apparently i freaked him out

Angels My LO also smiles & laugh at the spot he stares at and if we dare to move him, he'll cry

That happened to us too!! We were at mymums and Caidan was in his puschair going to sleep, just where my mum has all her music boxes, which havent been wound in years! C was cooing away and was all happy at something and all of a sudden one of the music boxes started playing, and it's tune was ' Getting to know you'!! Kind of freaked us out but in a good way as we believed it was my dad there, getting to know his grandson.

if i had never seen anything i'd stare at random things too.
also young babies don't see like we do yet, they see shapes and light and shadows, and perhaps, yes, they are more open to seeing otherworldly things that we cannot
