LO first rolled over from her tummy to her back when she was 3 mo old. She did it afterwards almost every day for two weeks. However now, for the past 10 days, she hasn't done it at all. Whenever it's tummy-time, she makes some half-hearted attempts, and just starts to cry in frustration.
She was never a big fan of tummy time, but I try to keep it up, especially, since she also becomes fed up very quickly with laying on her back. So now I'm alternating her between playmat, relax chair and swing. Maybe sitting up would be a nice change for her. She can hold her head very well - would a Bumbo seat work now? or maybe a reclining high chair?
Did anyone have an experience like this? I'm not too worried, as she seems to have a new trick every day and is generally healthy and balanced, I just find it odd that she'd forgot something like this... Maybe it was just a bit early for her?
My LO did this, she rolled over at 3 months, I got really excited as she was doin it really well for around a week, then bam! she judt seemed to have forgotten how to do it. She started doin it again at around 7 months, she does it all the time now, think they just master it then put it aside to learn other things, then go back to it.
Wow. 4 months is a pretty big gap between. But I guess, like you say, they master new things all the time. Bianka now works on gettin from her back to her tummy :-) I've never thought it's this amazing to watch a baby grow
