what casting kit to use?

Anyone know a good casting kit to use?
I brought one from mothercare the other day and its useless, the clay doesnt go soft enough and if you where to push LO foot down enough to make a impression it would more then likely brake a bone in his foot so im not using it through fear and risk of hurting him.

we got one by 'pearhead' which was really good... it looks like clay when it's done, but it's actually more like foam or rubber so it's really easy to do... also when you make a mess of it (when!) you can just squidge it up and roll it out and try again.

we got this one - http://www.pearhead.com/product_detail.php?id=40 not sure where it was bought as it was a gift.
