anyone that has had the implant? question.

what is everyone going/back on?
im just gonna go back on the pill for now, but the dr suggested the implant. im not sure as its 3 years so wondering can you have it removed or will it take a long time to get pregnant after it has been removed? i dont really want a 4 year age gap in between babies tbh!
also any side effects of it? and does it mess your periods up

I had no periods when I had the implant (i had 2), you can get it removed at any time in the 3 yrs which is not very painful. After 2 weeks of removal i had a normal period again and 4 cycles later I was pregnant.

I know ppl who had constant spotting etc but i think it depends how your body copes with it. We want to start trying for number 2 next yr and after that I'm gonna get another implant straight away. Best thing ever for me.

Well my friend is on it and she suggested it too but she did put on quite a bit of weight and also her boobs have grown loaaaaaaaaaaaaaads! They are enormous lol, I wouldnt mind that!! But I also heard can go either way, either no periods or lots and lots of irregular bleeding. At least with the pill I know excactly when I'm gonna have a period, its just I dont wanna forget to take one. I never did before, but I've become very forgetful recently, was always forgetting my iron tablets and antibiotics!

I had my implant put in last week. Didn't feel it but it was quite bruised and sore when I took the bandage off but it's fine now. Still a little bruised but not at all painful. I came on the Tuesday before I had it done (My first period since DD) and it certainly made up for the months it missed! Sorry if it's TMI but I was losing so much I was practically P*****g blood!!! Two days after I had it in it slowed right down!!. My Dr said fertility returns within a week after having it out and if you don't get on with it you don't have to have it in for the full 3 years. I also have a problem with spots but since having it in my face has really cleared up! I love it and haven't had it a month yet lol

(Although I must admit I'm not looking forward to the taking out part lol)
