Baby oil makes hair grow faster?

Lilly has very little hair and she is 8 months, someone suggested putting baby oil on her head which I thought was funny.

Anyway we decided to do it as we have nothing to lose, have done it for 1 week now and her hair actually looks like it has grown a bit.

Is this the baby oil or did she just have a hair growth spurt you think. I might continue and see.

Don't know if it's connected but I've been using it on dd to stop cradle cap and she hasn't lost any of hers, u know how they often get a monk spot at the back, or it just thins out to nothing? She was born with a headful and still had it

Total myth. If baby oil helped hair grow faster, everybody would do it!

it's supposed to be the massaging of the scalp that stimulates hair growth rather than the oil itself x
