I am going back 1st of september for 3 days, My mum and MIL are looking after her so not worried about leaving her. I hate the thought of missing things. I need to dorp her off no later than 7.15, which is going to be hard as i am not good at been organised.

Its so hard isn't it. The thought of dropping her off in nursery and her crying when i leave is going to kill me

they dont cry for long, promise :-)

my mum childminds, and most kids cry when the door shuts (when they are little / new). give them 30 seconds and they have stopped.
Its a lot worse for the parents than the kids :-)
I'll second that! it's all a show for mummy! nathan used to do it when i left him at the childminders - he would cry and hold his arms out to me - i would then leave and cry in my car. Even though i could see through the window that he was then playing quite happily!
My little girl started nursery when she was 6 months old and she never cried when leaving her, shes now 3 in 8 weeks, and if i'm honest I don't think my little boy will either, i think i'm more anxious cause I know i'm having no more so he will always be my baby, where when we had my little girl it was the unknown of what was going to happen if that makes sense. I just know he is going to grow so much and I always feel guilty cause I miss out on so much. I suppose I just need to start treasuring weekends and make sure they are always fun filled!!

Just to let you know - I went back yesterday....and it was ok hardly slept the night before and felt sick dropping the boy off at nursery , but he went in fine (we've been doing visits for the last 2 weeks) and waved to me

I felt like a fish out of water in work but enjoyed seeing everyone again, monday will be our real test as I start at 7.30 so need to get us up , out and organised for then, yikes. The hardest part of the day was sucking my tummy in whenever anyone asked 'when's the next one then?' Hahaha sooner than ya think people

Best of luck for monday Bluebaby and anyone else going back

Just to reassure everyone who is going back to work soon, you will be fine & will probably end up enjoying it(providing you enjoyed your job before that is!) The first day is hard but it gets easier, I promise. I went back when LO was 3 months old & that first day at nursery killed me. I paid for her to go in for a day before I started back at work so I was around if there were any teething problems & so I didnt have to turn up for work with red, bloodshot eyes from crying! Dropping her off nearly killed me & I started crying when I handed her over, but the staff were lovely & assured me it happens a lot. They said I could ring as often as I like to check she was ok. I rang a couple of hours later & she'd settled in fine & was fast asleep cuddled up to my tshirt. When I went to pick her up that afternoon, she was in a bouncer playing with a member of staff & was full of smiles & giggles. After that, I was fine leaving her & I now actually enjoy my time at work, plus I look forward to my days off with her more now as the time is more precious.
Good luck to anyone going back soon

I go back on 6th September. I've done some KIT days to ease myself in and they've gone well. It's helped me get used to leaving Kate and for her to get used to being left.

Now it's only 3 weeks away I'm feeling a bit sad about returning, I'm having such a lovely time with her.

I'm am looking forward to doing my job again because I love it, I just wish I could take Kate with me.
