Sterilizing and Bottles! Pls help

I'm pumping breastmilk and giving her bottles because she doesn't latch on. I replaced 2 pieces of my pump today and forgot to sterilize them!!
Do you think that's okay?

And also, how often do you boil/ sterilize the baby bottles? I do it daily but I'm paranoid that there will be germs. What happens if the bottle isn't sterilized properly? I'm so worried!

First of all stop worrying, Im sure nothing will happen because you forgot to sterilise them. Sterilising gets rid of germs, etc etc that could potentially cause things like upset tummy's in babies. We all make mistakes from time to time and although we do have to sterilise, making the odd mistake shouldnt cause any harm

It depends on your type of sterilisation and the actual brand of steriliser how often you sterilise.. im presuming you mean that once a bottle is used and washed, and then put in steriliser before use. My one (tt) says that all bottles sterilised will stay sterile if the lid of the steriliser is not opened, for up to 24 hours! But that confuses me, because If I sterilise 6 bottles, then open it up to take one out, do I need to re sterilise the other 5 all over again?

Just realised I didnt really help you but rather added to your question! Maybe we will both get answers x

Don't worry! I'm sure your LO will be just fine! (I did read somewhere that breast milk was less likely to cause a tummy upset if not sterilised properly due to the properties in it but I'm not sure how true this is).

What type of steriliser do you use? I use a cold water one and just keep bottles in it until I need them (changing the solution every 24 hours).
I've never had any issues with doing it this way.

I was advised to steralize my pump parts just once a day anyway so I don't do it every time. I also design hospitals and just finished a postnatal ward and the nurses there said the advice now is not to steralize pumps too much.
