ladies who use terry nappies / cloth nappies (or what ever you call them!!)

is it too late for us to start??? Sophie tends to do a poo at the same time each day, so, if its just weewee then i thought id use some cloth nappies to save on buying disposable and do my bit for the environment lol!! Can you give me some advice, where to buy, which sort, what style etc etc.

Just a thought at the moment!!

I have only just started to use cloth nappies (Daniel was 7 weeks old)
I use pocket nappies.
To be honest - even poo is easy to deal with in reusable nappies!

i started at around 5 months, once i started i COULDNT go back! (which meant hand washing in the sink a few times a day until i got my stash up)

they are much nicer and poo isnt too much of an issue, especially now he is on solids, it just shakes off into the loo and our nappies never even get much of a mark on them, it just washes straight out no bother

We use terries and liners - when she poos the flushable liners (from mothercare) go straight in the loo and we wash the terries as normal. When she was still on milk and no solids, we just used to wash everything in the machine with no rinsing and I'd run a cup of bleach through it every so often on an empty cycle.

we use pre folds and wraps (bambino mio to start) found a starter kit at Asda a while back for £!0! Now that I use them I love them! They are fairly expensive so I am learning how to sew my own I love them I have to say! We still use disposable at night and when my mil has her but to be honest those will probably be gone soon too! takes a few days to get used too but when you start you won't want to go back
