my little girl poked herself in the eye yesterday soon after we noticed part of her eye had gone red. I thought id wait until today and see how it is. Again it is still red, im not sure whether i should take her to docs. any advice would be great. thanks
Not really sure what to suggest. is she rubbing it? does she seem upset or bothered by it?
if you're worried it won't hurt to visit the dr or call NHS direct. our local hospital has an eye casualty which could be another option if there is one near you - not sure if they see babies though.
if it starts getting green puss or even redder then def take her
I once poked Albert in the eye with my nipple it looks red for a while but was fine. If it was a finger her nail may have scratched her eyeball a little so nhs direct should be able to tell you what to do x
Well my mum thinks i panick about everything and said shed be fine. It looks much better today still slightly red, but the redness is about the size of a tip of a pen. Shes not rubbing it she seems ok inherself although she is teething. I will keep a look out for any changes. Thanks ladies.
My LO went through a stage of this (partly my fault as I am terrible at cutting nails) and it even bled once (in the eye not out) but I was told unless she appears in any discomfort to leave and it would heal and sure enough within a day or two it did
