Formula questions

My lo is 10 months and on 3 meals a day plus porridge before bedtime. He has been taking Aptamil Comfort since birth. Im really struggling at the minute to get him to take his bottles. He usually has 8oz in the morning, 8oz around 3pm and 8oz at bedtime. He used to guzzle the whole lot down but the last wk he is taking maybe 4oz or 5oz at the very most. Last night he refused the bottle entirely.
I contacted the Aptamil careline who told me to phase in Follow on Milk as it has more iron which is essential and will fill him for longer also. So a few questions:
1) Should I use follow on milk?
2) How do I go about phasing it in over a week?
3) Should I try giving him less in each feed, eg 5oz 3 times a day or should I try for 2 bottles of 8oz a day?

sorry for all the questions, im at a bit of a loss as to what to do at the minute, my mummy skills have deserted me!!

Hi hun. Omar was on Aptamil anti reflux. He also went off his bottles & we switched to aptamil follow on at 7.5 mnths & it he liked it more than the old one. Confort & AR r more filling than normal formulas as they'r thick. Omar takes 3 bottles 5-6 oz each & I try to offer him more dairy during the day. At this age they only need 18-21 oz of formula in addition to their solids. xx
