light sleep / deep sleep

is it possible to make a baby less of a light sleeper?! max seems to wake at the slightest noises, we live in a block of flats with hollow walls, so every sounds travels through really easily. and i was just wondering if there is anything i can do to make him go into a bit of a deeper sleep? ive tried putting his mobile on when he falls asleep but that didnt work. and im kinda stumped do babies without a dummy sleep deeper? i thought maybe the movement from sucking his dummy might keep him semi-awake? or am i just making stuff up?! lol any help would be appreciated!

My baby seems to go into deeper sleep without her pacifier (taking it away after she falls asleep) or if she's fallen asleep while being held. Hope you find something!

I play my lo white noise and he sleeps much better, if he wakes it usually puts him back over.

My LO was like this, I didn't really find any solution but he has got a lot better as he got older. Since about eight months he seems to sleep more deeply as before that he would wake up at any little noise. But he's still quite a light sleeper but not nearly as bad.
