she won't drink anything apart from her milk - any ideas?

Leah now has 3 meals a day and 3 bottles of milk (7 ozs) - one first thing, one between dinner and tea and on at bedtime. I'm worried because no matter what i try, she won't drink anything else - i've tried orange, summer fruits and blackcurrent drinks, oh and plain water, in different types of beakers, and she just isn't interested and turns her head away - is she ok with just the milk? surely she must be thirsty after her food? xxx

Evie's the same hun, it's only been the last couple of weeks that she's taken a little bit of juice here n there. She will not take water at all, so we add a little sugar free dilute stuff, literally just a couple of drops to flavour the water up a little. I dont give it to her in her usual bottles either, I use a transitional type bottle, which has a squishy spout. This has really helped her get to grips the whole thing. There's still days where she wont drink anything other than milk tho

Anna is the same - I have been told its nothing to worry about though. Milk is better for them than juice I suppose

thank you ladies - i'm pleased we're not alone! I use the no added sugar robinsons drinks and just add a tiny bit to her water in a beaker so it's not just plain - have tried various flavours and she pulls a face every time. i try a little bit with every meal but she won't have any of it! am still getting lots of wet nappies so not too concerned, just thought she should be starting to have juice with her meals by now? xxx

Have any of you tried putting actual juice (i mean not squash) in some water? My LO hates water but he laps it up if its got a bit of apple juice in it!
I was talking to the woman who does a healthy eating for babies thing at my sure start centre and she said it is quite important to try and get babies to drink something other than milk if its formula they're having, as its more like their food rather than a drink. I had just given up for a while on trying to make my LO drink water because i thought he was getting enough fluids from his bottles, but apparently not!

Have you tried water, juice and herbal tea? Water, I@m sure you've already tried, but just in case. You can give babies juice, if you water it down. I don't know what strength for your LO's age, but NB can have juice (occasionally) watered down to 1 part juice, 4 parts water. And herbal tea is totally safe. I've been giving my LO camomile tea since she was born.
