need advice on night time feeding! really confused!

as my previous post zakk had his jabs yesterday and we kept him with us in the living room til about 8pm.

he normally goes to bed at 7pm after a bottle then we feed him before we go to bed around 11pm. he then wakes about 4am then morning is 6.30am.

last night i went to bed early. this was due to the fact i dropped his monitor in my cup of tea and its buggered. (!)

i slept over his 11pm feed and he woke at 2.45am for a feed. I couldnt believe it! he went 8 hours between a feed!

the question is- was it because i put him to bed a bit later? was it because of the jabs? was it just a fluke?

should i drop the 11pm feed and let him work towards a full night sleep? im worried i am inforcing a feed when he doesnt need one.

what did you do?

it was likely due to his jabs. Can make babys more sleepy. However if he sleeps through his 11pm feed then let him. See what he does. Kacey droped her 11pm feed 1st. It could be down to going bed later. That has never made a difference to us.

i think now that i have recovered from the birth, anemia and general shock of being a mum i might let him lead the way at night!

he wont sleep after his 3am feed sometimes and its getting really tiring and i was thinking it might be because i am disturbing his sleep at night?

thanks ladies

he practically ate the bottle at 3.30am!

this might be a coincidence but he didnt do his usual "wont go back to sleep after the night feed" business that we have from about 4am til about 6.30am. (when i give in and get up). I hope this is because i am letting him sleep and feed more naturally.
