Gripe water

Am thinking of switching from infacol to gripe water - is it any good? Do you use it every time like infacol? Does it go in the bottle or use a dropper? (I can't imagine trying to let DS to take medicine from a spoon!) Infacol works ok, but am thinking gripe water might be better, especially at night when it is hard to burp him.

That sounds easier if you can just put it in the bottle. Do you use it at every feed like infacol? Does it take a while to work, infacol took about 3 days to build up.

how many feeds does he have?i think there is a limit of like 5 or 6 or something. We noticed a difference quicker than infacol.

We used infacol and gripe water together, we put it in her bottles but when we just gave it to her we either put it in a teat and let her suck it from there or put it in a syringe.

He has had 6 feeds the last few days, was 7 before that! Hopefully now he has not had the night one he will be down to 5. Using a teat for the gripe water is a good idea. I didn't know you could use both together. I might buy dentinox and gripe water and see- it's like nappies all over again, different ones suit different babies!!

i use gripe water, you can put 5mls in up to 6bottles a day. Then after 6months 10mls. Its much easier and quicker putting it in feeds. And its fairly cheap too! I defo notice a difference with gripe water. Xxx

I use gripe water but only sometimes if he's struggling with wind. I give it to him off a tea spoon, he takes it no problem at all.

Hmm, think it will be trial and error week this week!! my worry with putting it in bottles is that he won't have it all as we have just started making 6oz bottles but he is not draining them yet, he's not close to draining them really!

I personally found gripe water wasnt consistant, Infacol was better for us and we were told not to give them both together. Dentinox made Thomas really sick. Every time we gave it to him - he projectile vom'ed everywhere!!
