5 week old feeding and sleeping help!

Hi,

My baby boy has just turned 5 weeks and up until now his sleeping pattern has consisted of staying awake during the day apart from cat naps and maybe 1 slep for a couple of hours, then sleeping through the night. This weekend however he's completely changed to sleeping a lot through the day and also at night.

I know i should proably be greatful that he's sleeping and that all the info tells me he should be getting 16-18 hours sleep a day, but is this sudden change something to worry about?

We also upped his feed last Friday from 125ml to 150 ml and are gradualy changing him from liquid to powder formula. However last night on both occasions of waking for a feed, an hour later he was sick. Quite smelly sick as well. This morning he has possetted a bit but not been quite as sick. Could this be becuase we're feeding him too much for his little belly? He does finish the bottle every time but may have taken after me in having eyes too big for his belly?!

I also realised on Saturday night that i had completely got his powder formnula wrong, we were giving him 120ml so i had the formula measured out, then when we went to 15o i forgot to add an extra measure so for a couple of feeds he had 1 measure to little, then on one feed i had to use 2 bottles to spread the 150 ml across but instead of sharing out the 4 scoops between the 2 bottles i ended up putting 4 scoops in each. What an idiot, felt so guilty!

Dont feel guilty. Do you mean that you gave your LO 4 oz of formula but will less water. If so this can give your LO a bad tummy which could explan the same. We all make mistaakes
