Sleeping too much? Advice needed please! :)

I know I always scoffed at such posts and LO still wakes at 5am to be rocked most days BUT she's getting up later and later in the morning which means I don't know when to put her down for her morning nap as that's getting later and later and then her afternoon nap is getting later and so she then sleeps later and wakes up EVEN later.

Should I roll with it and accept that I may have to say bye to our evenings or should I gently wake her to "preserve the schedule". or is it a backwards spurt of some kind where she just needs more sleep? Or is she perhaps ready to drop a nap?

Any opinions welcome.

I've put her down for her nap after a slight dazed look but I don't know if that was being mesmerised by the leaves in the wind outside or if she was sleepy. She used to go down at 10 in the morning but right now she's babbling happy in her cot.

awwww i often think my dolly sleeps way too much but she's happy and content and i kno wit can change any minute so i am enjoying it she goes to bed at 7pm and don't wake until 8am at the earliest i often have to wake her up to put her in car to take other children to school x she then has her bottle and breakfast and goes back to bed around the 10am mark x she sleeps for at least an hour, its normally 2 x wakes has bottle and dinner then she has a play talk jump moan, whatever we're doing until around 3pm when she'll have another hour before waking up to sounds of children home from school bottle and tea around 5pm play bath bottle and bed again at 7pm

if we're out its pretty much the same x however she will wake up to any smell of food no matter what the time is :0/ lol x my dolly dumpling xxxxxx

Well lets just see how it plays out. I should know by now trying to control anything will backfire with my little one. If she wants to start sleeping at 9 then I guess that's her thing?!

We find good sleep during the day means good sleep at night, think you have to just go with the flow, every baby is different.

the past couple of morning Leah has been like this, wanting more sleep - yesterday she was up at 6.30 for a bottle ands play (normal) and she usually then has her porridge at 9am and goes back to bed at 9.30 for her morning nap and then has another nap about 2.30pm in the afternoon and bed at 7. However yesterday, by 7.15am (45 mins after waking) she was sooo cranky, whinging and rubbing her eyes, so i put her back to bed and she didn't wake up again until 9.30am, hence all naps for the day totally out the window!! Today she woke at 4.45am for a bottle and went straight back to sleep until about 8am, needless to say todays naps are out the window too.

I don't know how these babies expect us to keep to a routine haha but i am just going to go with it for a while, might be a common thing for babies to go through at this age? xxx
