I noticed that my LO has red, blistor like sores on her bottom, what could have caused it?? They dont seem to be hurting her. I havent changed her nappies or wet wipes but she did pooh in her nappy during the night and I didnt know until this morning when she woke up, could it be this? How do I treat them??

Not sure - although metanium cream is wonderful on nappy rash.

Ollie had some round sore patches a while back, and I ended up taking him to the doctors, and they said he had thrush on his bottom...so he ended up with a thrush cream to treat it.

Hope your little one gets sorted soon x x x

It sounds like a diaper rash to me. I use triple paste and it is amazing.

If they are round red sores which are slightly crater-like it is probably a thrush nappy rash. Try a normal nappy rash cream for a couple of days and if it doesn't work then ask your doctor to prescribe canestan or another anti-fungal.

My LO had that i just used LOADS of sudocrem on her bum and it cleared up with 48 hours. That came out of nowhere too so dont really know what caused it, altho she was teething so could have been that! Try using some cream on her for a couple of days and if it goes then it probably is nappy rash, if it comes back after a week or so id take her in to get checked out just incase xx

Metanium was a godsend to us when Madeline had terrible nappy rash. There is another cream, think it's called Bepanthem or something similar, but I haven't tried that. Metanium was recommended by my friend. who is a midwife. It's pretty cheap and you only need a tiny bit, so should last ages.

I think if the sores have a white coating on them then they are more likely to be thrush. x
