Do you ever feel like you need some me time away from your LO? I am not talking about any extended time away but maybe an hour or two to do something for yourself like get your hair done, catch up on some reading or something like that.
I dont ever feel like i need time away from LO i love spending time with him and dont want to miss anything new he does. But i try to make sure i do get some time to myself to just be me. I like getting my hair and nails done xx
Thankfully I work, so I get quite a bit of time away, but I still feel like I need more time away to have 'me' time. Sometimes I'll go get a pedicure, get my hair done, go to the gym or just relax while someone watches Kenneth for an hour or two. It's nice to have some 'me' time without having to worry about Kenny!
As much as I love my LO...i'd go NUTS if I didn't have my mum to take him so that I can have some me time, or me and OH can have some us time! My mum has him Friday to Saturday so we can go out, have a few drinks etc without having to worry. Then the next day we have a lie in (which after waking at 6am to a hungry screaming baby every morning is BLISS) before driving to pick LO up again.
I'm very greatful and really couldn't care less if i'm judged for enjoying this time away from LO!
I work full time, but I still need some me time. My OH and I both take 1-2 evenings a week and go off on our own while the other watches Gabriel. I think it's good to take time away from him, being a mom is only one part of who I am.
