Car seat question. When can i move Ava into an upright rear facing seat?

Hey everyone. Just a quick question. Right now Ava is still in her car seat that only goes up to 22 pounds(kinda like this one different brand though http://www.westcoastkids.ca/Maxi-Cosi---Mico ) and 28incehs long. She is now 17 pounds and 26 inhches long and I was wondering when i would be able to put her in one of the convertible upright rear facing car seats. (one of these http://www.westcoastkids.ca/Britax---Boulevard-65 )
They say they are rear facing for 5-40 pounds then forward facing form 1 year/20 pounds to 65 pounds. Do you think she'd be big enough for one of these now or should i wait until she completely outgrows the other car seat. the straps are starting to get quite tight on her and i cant loosen them anymore.

Thanks so much for any help.

If you have the britax, I would put her into it now, but rearward facing. It really is safest to put babies rear facing for as long as possible. If the seat you have only does forward facing, then I wouldn't move her until you absolutely have to (ie her head is over the top of the seat).

My DD is about 20lbs and 27 1/2 inches, and I still have her in her 'baby bucket' car seat. She's going to have to go into her big one very soon, but I haven't got it fitted in the car yet.

thanks i haven't bought one yet but im looking at buying the one i posted in the first post because i can use it rear facing until she is big/old enough for forward facing. Im happy to know i can use it rear facing now. Her car seat we have now just looks uncomfortable when shes in it.
