first jabs side effects?

My LO had his jabs yesterday and didnt cry thank god!

Anyways he was ok yesterday feeding more frequent every 2 hrs instead of 3. At 7 last night he had his bottle and I gave him some calpol he then went to sleep around 9..he woke up grizzly at 10 so thinking this is when his bottle was due give him one he only drank 1 oz (he normally has 5 every 2-3 hrs)..he then woke at 12 but just wanted a hug..didnt wake up till 4.30 am had 3 oz straight back to sleep till 7..I know I shouldnt complain as this is the most hes ever slept!

Today the most hes took is 1 oz at each feed this is so not him and hes slept most of the day too..No temp or anything is this normal??

Well I remember when I took my lo for his first jabs she said he might sleep more, sleep less, eat more, eat less. My lo was fine until 3 hours after his jabs he started screaming, it was a real high pitch scream that I'd never heard from him...it went on for a good few hours until he went to sleep, then he slept well and woke up the next morning absolutely fine.

It varies from baby to baby, some don't react at all, and some have a real reaction. Good thing was he didnt react at all to the second lot, so hopefully your lo will be the same.

Erin slept all day when she had hers. I think she woke for a feed twice and didn't have much. Was back to normal the next day.

Just keep an eye out and if your worried, dspeak to your gp.

Harry was a bit sleepy and grouchy for the rest of the day, He fed about the same as normal. He slept well in the night after several small feeds late into the evening and woke up at average time the following day. I had given him the appropriate dose of calpol before bed and I think that helped. The following day he was pretty much normal.

It's very normal.
All babies react differently to their shots though. My LO didn't have any side effects after the 2 month shots, but had reactions after his 4 & 6 month shots! Try not to worry though, everything is fine

My lo was fine, didn't really cry. Six hours later he just started a really high pitch scream! Nothing would settle him at all until we got some calpol. (we were out at the time. doh!) He also had a temp, was awake all night but by morning was fine. For his next jabs we are staying in!

So long as he's not seeming unwell or distressed I wouldn't worry. He's probably just sleeping it off, I'm sure he will be back to normal soon. After her first and second jabs my LOs only reaction was to sleep through the night for 12 hrs straight for the following thre nights - it was heaven, but sadly didnt last! lol
