Baby sobbing in sleep

Hi ladies, has anyone experienced their babies sobbing in their sleep, mainly during day naps? Luke does this every couple of weeks, he sobs and his whole body shakes from it. It always seems like any minute he will wake and cry really hard, but never does. It's so upsetting to see, anyone know what causes it? Can they have nightmares this young? He is such a happy baby when he is awake! X

Yeah. Belle does this sometimes! I always think it could be nightmares, or maybe abit of a windy tummy! I hate it too! xxx

My LO does this.. She lets out a loud screetch and wakes up, stares at the ceiling then goes back to sleep, or just sobs for a few mins.. I mentioned it to the dpcs when she had her jabs and she said its the start or night terrors that they can get when they are 2 or 3..
Joy!!!

Apparently i had them when i was younger so my mum put a dream catcher in my room and now i have nightmares if i havent got a dream catcher.. Might try it with LO..
X

Gabriel does this too and it is very upsetting. He only stops when I take him out of the cot, kiss him on the forehead, hold him tight in my arms and shhhh until he settles.

Yep mine does this. I hear him crying on the baby monitor, dash upstairs and find him fast asleep.

Gabriel does this, but just for a few seconds. My Mam says my sister used to do proper sobs in her sleep when she was a baby.
