7.5 month old keeps touching his ear- why???

My 7.5 month old has been touching his left ear lots this last week. I read this can be a sign of ear pain/infection??? He has no temperature and eating as normal. The ear looks fine but he has been more fussy and irritable than usual.

Anyother reason for all this ear touch??

My daughter was doing this constantly when she was 6 months old. She had her checkup just a few days after it started, and the doctor said it's quite common for babies to do that. (He did check her ear too). She still grabs at the same ear often...not as often as before, but sometimes.
If your LO is fussy and irritable as well, I would probably go and get it checked just in case.

is it a sign?? he's been "teething" since 3 months but nothing. i thought it might be teeth again as he is so fussy this last week.

My boy grabs his ear all time, he does it when he is hungry tired and teething. He has done it since 4 months old.

Oh and my little boy has been teething since 3 months ols and he just got his first 2 teeth.

My lo has been doing this the last few weeks and looks like his fang has finally popped through today!
