baby constipated but will not drink water or juice
Lo hasn't had a Poo since Friday. He will not touch water or freshly squeezed pure Apple juice diluted with water. I've even tried it in a beaker and just before his milk when I know he's hungry to see if he would take a few sips but he won't! I've done a tummy massage this morning and I gave him two does of lactulose yesterday....... still nothing. He woke up this morning with a not very wet nappy at all after its been on for 12 hours through the night. What can I do? He has had a wet nappy this morning x
I know you can get lactoluse from the chemist which is meant to be really good at getting them to 'go'. Or you could pop to the DR's and see if they can perscribe it or suggest something else for you. Hmm just seen your ticker not sure what the age is for lactoluse but NUKE's ideas good too prune juice is meant to be really effective too.
I will probly get called all the names under the sun but my lo was badly constipated last week, chemist would not help and she would not drink water apple orange or prune juice I even tried mixing prunes into her porridge.
After 3 days of a screaming unhappy 7 month old I mixed her formula with a scoop less 7oz water to 6 scoops after 2 feeds she had gone 5 times and was back to her happy self.
