Your LO's age

Hi Ladies just wondering how you work out your babies age? Do you go by calender months or weeks? As some of you may of seen on my facebook this morning I put about Jacob being 6 months today (we go by calender months). One of my friends has got a little boy who is a day younger than Jacob and she commented that her little boy is 6 n half months so Jacob can't be 6 months? I explained to her that if I went by weeks he would be 12 months In January rather than February but she was having none of it. She is now being quite funny with me about it!

So just wondering what all you ladies do?

I do weeks in the beginning but now it is just easier to do months based on when his birthday is. So I go by the 1st of the month.

I think once LO got to 3 (calandar) months I stopped counting in weeks. You need to stop sometime otherwise like you say, you'll be celebrating their first birthday about a month before their real birthday. How silly to get funny over it though lol

I do the same as babyseal. I started with weeks, but it's just easier now to do months based on his birthday

We count from the day of the month she was born. She is 41weeks so you could say she is 10months really but she's not. She's actually 9months, 1 week and 1 day old xx

Yes this is what I did too, but like you say you have to stop going by weeks at some point other wise it really doesn't add up I too think she was being silly over it....she is so adamant I am wrong and that Jacob is older! x

age is calculated in months and how old they are in weeks if that makes any sense, otherwise we wouldn't celebrate our birthday on the same day every year, how odd of her to be funny over it though! thats the whole point of birth day, its the date that they are born in each calendar month
