CHICCO HAPPY SNACK HIGHCHAIR What do you think?

As the title says really. I bought this chair a couple of weeks ago as i've just started weaning my daughter. It had really good reviews so i went ahead confident that it would be a good purchase. I hate it! I find it fiddly to put up and down. Clicking the backrest into position feels like it is going to break when it does that double click thing where the red tabs are. It's hard to fold as you're meant to squeeze the leavers under the handles and pull the backrest with your thumbs simultaneously but when squeezing the leavers my hand can't reach the bloody backrest so i have to bend down and pull it with my chin! The tray also seems high for my daughter. Fair enough she's only 6 months at the moment and will grow, so that i could live with but the folding and unfolding is driving me mad. I've had two fights with it today all ready.

Is it just me? There were a couple of bad reviews with these issues but so many raved about how wonderful this chair was that i thought people were just being picky - now i'm not so sure! Think i'm going to try and return it if possible and exchange it for something else.

Anyone else had issues with this chair?!

I have this highchair and think its great apart from being a little tricky to clean at times, but we BLW. I did find it better early on to stick Sebastian on a cushion so he could see what he was doing better. You could try giving that a go. I don't find it that easy to fold, but tend to leave it out all the time anyway. Is definitely try sticking LO on a cushion before deciding to get rid

We have it and it is a pain in the arse to fold so we just leave it up in the corner. Apart from that i love it. I like the fact that the tray has different settings to it can be moved out as they get older, lots only had one setting. I like the storage basket under and i like the bar bit between there legs so she stops her from sliding down.

We've not got the Happy Snack but have the Chicco Polly highchair (which looks more or less the same) and love it. I think it's really good for keeping LO from sliding down in the chair and adjusting. If you're finding it that difficult to adjust I would take it back to store, it could be faulty x

We have this one, I find it quite good. It is a pain to clean and i'm always finding food that Callums dropped in the basket underneath! We leave it unfolded and up so I can't say about the folding thing, I don't remember it being a problem when I first got it out of the pack though. Other then that I like the fact that it has different tray settings and I like the fact that its reclining which was great in the early days when weaning Callum xx

We have it, it's sitting redundant in the spare room, at 6 months the tray was at Ruby's armpit level, and it's huge and bulky. To be fair we did no research just bought the first one we saw! Got a Tripp Trapp instead which we love.

Tried to sell it but understandably no one wants it

We have this one, not sure if we'll use it for LO No2 though.

Apart from the problems you've already found (I found these too) the back of the seat kept dropping back............so it was horizantal.............. without any warning........whilst LO was sat in it eating his tea!!! (Three times)

It was all locked into place so it must be a fault, it was scary as I thought LO was going to go flying on the floor, thankfully he was always strapped in but it was such a shock to him when he jolted backwards he burst into tears!!!

The main annoyance with it is the fact the tray height isn't adjustable.
