3 week old baby with stuffy nose

My 3 week old baby boy has got a stuffy nose and might be getting a cold, is there anything that I can give him to help him?

I was considering putting some books under the legs of the crib (head end) to slant it a little.

I'm checking him all the time because I'm worried he can't breathe easily! I think it's going to be a long night...

My LO had a really bad snuffy nose at 3 weeks. Like you we put his bed at a slant. I also put the shower on to it's highest temperature and let the steam go into the bathroom as it worked as a decongestant. Also, saline solution was a god send!

Hope your LO feels better soon as it's horrible seeing them all snuffly x

Saline drops (not the spray as its v tricky to use with a baby) really help loosen the mucus. Also propping up the crib like you said and lots of cuddles to help LO feel better! Good luck my LO has it at the moment too and I've had two sleepless nights

Thanks for the replies ladies, will prop up the crib and will get to the chemist tomorrow for saline solution. Bless him he keeps sniffling and sneezing Will see how we get on and then might sit in the bathroom full of steam. I hate it for him, he's too little! x

If you're breastfeeding a little bit of breastmilk dropped in the nostrils works too!
