How can I make my sick baby more comfortable?

I took my daughter to see her pediatrician Monday, she has a cough and is really congested. Her doctor told us to get some saline drops for her nose to loosen things up, and use the bulb sucker to get the boogies out. We also bought a cool-mist humidifier and put in in our room. Her nose isn't too bad since we've started using the bulb and saline. Her congestion is more in her chest though and her cough has gotten really bad. Last night she threw up so much, and has also been spitting up alot more lately. They said to bring her to the ER if she starts having trouble breathing or weezing, she isn't doing that though.

Anyway, should I take her back in? Is there anything they could even do for her? Is there anything I can do to make her more comfortable, she's miserable

She also has thrush and has been teething since 5 or 6 weeks. Poor baby.

you could keep her slanted, lying flat all the secretions will build up in her chest and throat.

Poor LO.

Mine too is poorly with her cold and chest.

I put Karvol drops on her bedding when she sleeps. I raise the bed of the cot on her head end (whilst she is in it). If we co sleep, i put karvol drops on our bed.

I put her in the bathroom with me whilst i have a hot shower. One lady on BnB suggested putting drops in hot water in a bowl in the bedroom. We have been doing that all day in any room for the last few days.

Calpol and calprofen throughout the day to help ease the aches and pains of a cold and RTI.

Keep offerring fluids. Especially in this heat.

Lots of cuddles-my LO is really clingy at the moment (altho i secretly love that).

In this heat strip LO down.

Lots of nice cool things to eat like fruit that has been in the fridge (will help with teething too) and yogurt.

Keep wiping the nose and chin else LO will get a rash.

And lastly, look after yourself too!

I was going to suggest the same, also holding her upright as much as possible during the day, but make sure she doesn't get overheated, poor little one
