Anyone elses Angelcare monitor batteries rubbish?

My angelcare monitor will not hold its charge meaning it constantly has to be on the cradle! I've replaced the batteries and it didnt help. Anyone else have this problem or is mine faulty? x

We have the movement only one that just takes normal AA battries, they last about three months. However someone gave us a Summer video monitor and that is the same. If you unplug it it will literally do half an hour then it is flat. It was new when we were given it and had always been like that. Rubbish!
