How often should I bath my 3 week old baby?

Just wondering what I should be doing in terms of bathing baby. We've been doing it twice a week, but I think we should probably be doing it more often than that. What are you ladies doing?

We bath LO every second night. More because it helps him relax for bedtime than because he is dirty.

We bathed her once a week at that age, any more and she would get dry skin

You can bath your little one as often as you like. If you have a water thermometer that'll ensure the water isn't too hot and LO's skin doesn't dry out. My LO has extremely dry skin due to eczema and the dermatologist recommended daily bathing.

I only bathed by son a couple of times a week when he was that young and just top and tailed him every day. I found it easier and i don't really think you have to worry about them being clean until much later. I give my son a bath every evening now, but as others have said it is more to give him a bedtime routine. I use a very mild baby wash and very litle of it.

we bath Oscar about three times a week at the min but when we try to establish a routine well prob do it every night. He loves the bath, but screams when we take him out due to being cold/getting dressed so i dont think hed find it that relaxing before bed yet. x

At that age we'd only bathe her once a week. It wasn't until about two months that we started bathing her daily. Before that it would only wind her up and get her upset and make her skin dry. So there was no point.

Now she loves the bath and goes in it as part of our nighttime routine!

We bathe him every night (well, if hes really tired or grumpy or we are out then we skip his bath), I think it helps to establish a routine
