Feeding issues

I just don't get it. When LO was about 5 weeks old she started having trouble eating, would drink about an oz then start screaming in pain. This went on for about 2 days until we were able to get her to the doctor. Which he said she had a slight case of reflux and milk intolerance. So he put her on .04ml Zantac and soy based formula. We noticed an improvement immediately with her. But now for about the past week she is starting to get upset with her feedings again. She just sees the bottle and she starts to scream. I just don't get it. We haven't changed anything but she just gets so upset. At first I thought it could be a bit of gas becaues that is one of the symptoms of the medicine so gave her some gas drops with her bottle but that didn't seem to work. Then I thought maybe thrush but I don't notice any signs of it in her mouth. What else could it be? She doesn't do this with every bottle either. but her afternoon bottle at around 1-3pm or so is her worste one, and her midnight one is her best. Hubby just called me asking for other ideas but I am all out. And he said now she has basically just cried herself to sleep after getting only about 2 1/2 oz in her when she normally has 6oz. And I know she will wake up again within an hour wanting to eat and will start crying once try to feed her. Does anyone else have some idea of what could be going on?

My LO has reflux and he used to get like this. He was put on gaviscon which helped but then he would start getting like your LO again and we tried changing to the next stage teat helped. I don't know about the meds your LO is on but the gaviscon thickens the milk so we had to buy teats for thicker liquid. Hope you find something that helps I know how hard it is

Well took her to the doctor because something was obviously wrong. They upped her medicine which she seems to be taking to well at the moment. She is finally resting, poor thing is exhausted from screaming since 1pm this afternoon.

Also they had to send a urine sample to the lab to be tested for a bladder infection because her urine has a horrible strong odor to it. Hopefully it comes back negative. She did not like that catheter being put in her that is for sure. I never have seen her turn so red before from crying so hard.
