I'd definitely go for the old dress either with the bonnet or headband. Both are so pretty and it means so much more to wear the same dress you were christened in. I'm hoping to use my old christening gown when we have LO christened. I just hope she'll fit into it! As others have said you can always change her into something else after the ceremony.

I love the first picture - it's gorgeous! The newer dress doesn't look very Christening like to me. Old dress all the way with the bonnet to top it off

My little man is going to be christened in a family christening gown that my great nana was christened in in 1896!! Everyone in the family on my mums side has been christened in it so I'm keeping up the tradition! I think she looks lovely in your gown and like other posters have said get her changed afterwards! X

Old dress for the church and then second dress for after.

That's what we done as the gown is 40 yeRs old.

i say old dress lo got christened in my dress and then i got her changed afterwards it meant alot to me and my grandma as she made the dress orginally plus it was a talking point too everyone asked about it x
